Saqib Saleem has been quite active on screen with multiple online releases including his recent show Crackdown and his upcoming movie Comedy Couple. However, the actor decided not to spend a lot of time on social media and even ditched Twitter over abusive trolls in July. Now he has opened up about the same thing and has said that if any of the haters have any grudges with him, they should meet him in person so the two can have a real conversation.
Saqib is active on Instagram. When asked if it felt better to walk away from negativity on social media, the actor told the Hindustan Times in an interview: “If I could, I would leave all social media platforms because they are full of dirt.”

“When these networking platforms emerged, they were created to connect people, their ideologies. I just saw the movie, Social Dilemma, which talks about how when Facebook was launched, people found organ donors and brought together long-lost friends. Look what has become of her now, “he added.
Digging deeper into the topic of online trolling, the actor said: “When you’re behind a computer screen and your real identity isn’t there, all you do is abuse people. I’m from Delhi and I want to say to all these people: ‘If you have the courage, abuse me to the face.’ These are the same people who will be the first to run to meet celebrities if they see them. I think we interpret freedom of expression in a very wrong way. Freedom of speech does not mean that I can abuse people, it means that I can share my point of view. You can share your point of view, I am open to any kind of criticism but do not abuse my mother, sister. What kind of criticism is this? “
In a direct message to the trolls, he said: “You are not even real, you have hidden your identity behind a computer screen. The day you find courage, come and abuse my face. “The actor thinks trolls are fake accounts anyway and says, ‘If you’re real, come to the real world.’

Saqib had posted a note on Twitter as his last post saying that he doesn’t need that kind of vibe in his life. He strongly believes in having a conversation and solving a problem and said, “I was sitting down one day and I read some messages and I replied that ‘okay, let’s meet and we can talk. I’ll fix it for you. Whatever complaints you have, tell me. Anything can be ordered if you really want to order it. But if you are already so full of anguish and hatred, how can you change then! “
