Rhea Chakraborty’s lawyer Satish Maneshinde, describing how she spent her time in jail, has said that the family of the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput appears to be “very vindictive” towards her. Rhea has been accused by Sushant’s father, in a family-backed FIR, of instigating the actor’s suicide and embezzling his funds.
Rhea was released on bail Wednesday, after 28 days in Byculla jail on drug-related charges in the case. Maneshinde in an interview called her a ‘Bengal tiger’ and said that she would ‘fight back’ to restore her tarnished image.
He said Rhea tried to stay positive during her time in jail. Maneshinde said in an interview with NDTV: “I personally went to jail to see a client after so many years, because she was harassed and wanted to see the condition she was in. I was lucky to see that he was in good spirits. She took care of herself in jail. He used to give yoga classes for herself and her prisoners. She settled in jail, because she couldn’t bring food home because of the pandemic, and she lived with the prisoners as if she were a commoner. Being an army girl, she fought the conditions like a battle, and she is ready to face anyone who tries to accuse her and harm her interests. “

“The reason she was harassed was because the family was persecuting her. I don’t know why, the family seems to be very vindictive when it comes to Rhea Chakraborty, ”he said. “I’ve been saying that the central agencies – the CBI, the NCB, the ED – have been harassing her just because she was this gentleman’s housekeeper or partner.”
