Union Health Minister Harsh Vardhan clarified on Tuesday about an “incorrect claim” regarding the death case of late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. The BJP leader said a section of the media reported that he offered to hear the case in person.
Taking to the microblogging site Twitter, Vardhan called it fake news asking to refrain from believing unverified statements. He added that he has not spoken to anyone or offered to examine any cases.
“Fake News An INCORRECT statement is being made in a section of the media that I have offered to take personal knowledge of Sushant’s death case,” he tweeted.
“I have NOT spoken to anyone or offered to examine any cases. Please refrain from believing unverified statements. Sushant Singh Rajput case,” he also tweeted.
Meanwhile, the Chief Coroner of the Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Dr. Sudhir Gupta, reportedly said that it is difficult to reach a conclusion whether the death of Sushant Singh Rajput is a case of suicide or murder, adding that the panel submitted its report to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) based on the evidence. He also said another forensic investigation is needed in the case.

Dr. Gupta’s alleged statement comes just a couple of days after AIIMS ruled out the murder angle in Sushant’s case. The medical board has ruled out the murder for Sushant’s death over the weekend, calling it “a case of hanging and death by suicide.”
However, on Monday, AIIMS said in a statement: “A medical board was constituted by Dr. Sudhir Gupta, Head of AIIMS Department of Forensic Medicine and Toxicology, New Delhi, as per the request received by him from CBI to provide an opinion. Expert in the case concerning the death of Sushant Singh Rajput “.

“The medical board has submitted the report directly to the Central Bureau of Investigations (CBI) as required. Being a legal matter, any information on the medical board’s report should be obtained from the CBI,” he said.
Sushant Singh Rajput, 34, was found dead in his apartment in Mumbai’s Bandra on June 14. The CBI had taken over the Bihar police investigation into alleged complicity in the suicide case brought by the actor’s father, KK Singh in Patna, against Rajput’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty. and her family.
