Delhi Capitals spinner Ravichandran Ashwin gave Royal Challengers Bangalore starter Aaron Finch a warning for leaving his fold in their 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL) match in Dubai on Monday (Oct 5).
The incident occurred in RCB’s third inning, when Finch was caught out of the box by Ashwin at the end of the non-forward, but did not attempt ‘Mankad’ Finch and allowed him to return to his area.
After the match, Ashwin tweeted: “Let’s make it clear !! First and last warning for 2020. I make it official and don’t blame me later. @RickyPonting #runout #nonstriker @ AaronFinch5 and I are good friends by the way, ”he wrote on Twitter.

It should be remembered that before the start of IPL 2020, Delhi Capitals head coach Ricky Ponting had spoken to Ashwin about ‘Mankading’ and had asked him not to ‘Mankad’ any non-forward.
Ashwin made headlines in 2019 when he ‘Mankaded’ Jos Buttler. Ashiwn’s action sparked a debate on the “spirit of cricket.” Ponting also did not support Ashwin’s action.
