A day after leaving the NDA addressed to the Prime Minister of Bihar, Lok Janshakti Party Chairman Chirag Paswan said he wants a BJP-led government in the state as he no longer trusts Nitish Kumar.
“I have repeatedly said that I want to have a BJP-led government in my state because I no longer trust the Chief Minister. I really want a real twin-engine government in Bihar,” Paswan told News18 in an interview.
The LJP president also appealed to people against voting for Kumar’s JD (U) and claimed that an alliance of his party and the BJP will come to power in the state after the Assembly elections.
In an open letter, Paswan told Bihar voters that a vote for Janata Dal (United) will force the migration of her children tomorrow as she seeks their support for her party’s candidates in the three-phase poll that begins on 28 September. October.
On Sunday, the LJP decided to oppose its candidates to the JD (U), citing “ideological differences” with the party to affirm that it will not accept Kumar’s leadership in the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). The 37-year-old leader also made reference to his ailing father, Union Minister Ram Vilas Paswan, who underwent heart surgery at a private hospital in Delhi and is expected to remain hospitalized for some time.
