Indian Air Force Chief Marshal RKS Bhadauria said on Monday that amid an “emerging threat scenario in our neighborhood and beyond,” India is prepared for any conflict it may face, including a war of two. fronts.
On the current confrontation with China throughout LAC, Bhadauria assured that the Indian forces are “very well positioned” to face any contingency that may arise from the Chinese side.
At a press conference ahead of Air Force Day on October 8, Bhadauria said that Chinese air power cannot make the best of India’s capabilities, but at the same time acknowledged that it is not about underestimating the adversary.
“We are very well positioned and there is no doubt that in any conflict scenario, China can beat us,” he said.
Highlighting the importance of a “self-reliant” India, Bhadauria stated the IAF’s vision of expanding its combat capabilities by increasing “indigenous teams to achieve self-reliance.”
The border clash between India and China in eastern Ladakh has been going on for more than five months despite a series of “separation talks” held between the two Asian nations.
Further rounds of talks are scheduled to take place on October 12 with the aim of drawing up a roadmap to recover troops from sticking points.
