AIIMS report on Sushant Singh Rajput is slap in the face to those who defamed the Maharashtra government: Minister | Hindi Movie News

The AIIMS medical board report ruling out the murder angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput case is a “slap in the face” for those who had “defamed” the Maharashtra government over the actor’s death, the state minister said on Monday. Jayant Patil. Speaking to reporters, the Minister of Water Resources said that the AIIMS report has also shown that the Mumbai Police handled the case correctly before it was taken over by the CBI.

It is (the AIIMS report) a slap in the face for those who had defamed the Maharashtra government throughout the episode, said Patil, who is also the state chairman of the NCP, the second-largest constituent of the Shiv Sena-led MVA government.

He said the main objective before the Mumbai police was to find out who was responsible for the suicide of the actors and the city police were investigating that angle.

The medical board of the New Delhi-based All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) last week ruled out the murder for the death of Rajput, calling it “a case of hanging and death by suicide.”

Rajput (34) was found hanging in his suburban Bandra apartment on June 14.

Mumbai police initially investigated the matter before the IWC began its investigation into the case in August following a Supreme Court ruling.

The high-profile case also saw a fight between the Maharashtra-Bihar policemen.
