Kanishka Mittal from Muradabad, Uttar Pradesh, has headlined the IIT – JEE Advanced 2020 entrance exam in the female category. It is ranked 17th in all of India with 315 points out of 396. Of the 43,204 students who managed to pass the exam this year, 6,707 are women. She has been preparing for entry to IIT for the past two years and has relocated to Kota, Rajasthan, for the same. She has been a student at the Allen Coaching Institute.
Mittal claims to have been inspired by his brother who studies BTech. Despite being in a competitive environment, he claims that he has never compared himself to others. “I have always competed with myself. I have never compared myself to others and I have always tried to improve my performance in each test. I believe in myself, ”she said.

Consistency, Mittal says, has been his key to passing the exam. “I used to be regular and consistent with my studies. I did my homework every day and practiced as many questions as I could every day in all subjects, ”he said.
Mittal has been a good student throughout. In his class 12 board exams, he scored 98.4 percent and 99 percent in class 10. While there was debate about taking exams amid the pandemic, Mittal says, the blocking has helped her prepare better.
All India Rank (AIR 1) has been secured by Chirag Falor from Pune. He is already studying at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), USA, but he appeared for the JEE Advanced for the “experience” of it,
