Mumbai (Maharashtra):
With the AIIMS report ruling out the murder of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, the Shiv Sena said on Monday that politicians and news outlets who “defamed” the Mumbai police in connection with the case should apologize to Maharashtra.
In an editorial by his Saamana spokesman, Shiv Sena said that the truth ultimately prevailed in the actor’s death case and alleged that it was a conspiracy to smear Maharashtra’s image using the episode.
He also said that the Maharashtra government should file a defamation case against those who were part of the conspiracy.
The medical board of the Indian Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) last week ruled out the murder over the death of Sushant Singh Rajput.
Referring to this, the Sena publication said: “Are blind devotees going to reject AIIMS report regarding Sushant’s death? 110 days have passed since Sushant’s unfortunate death.”
“Politicians and news channels barking like dogs, who defamed the Mumbai police and questioned their investigation, must now apologize to Maharashtra,” the editorial said.
Without naming anyone or any of the parties, he said those who remained silent in relation to the alleged gang rape incident in Hathras of Uttar Pradesh should not put Maharashtra’s manhood to the test.
Mumbai police observed ethics and kept secrecy during their investigation to see that one was not defamed after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput, but the IWC unearthed the actor’s drug episode within 24 hours of their investigation. , He said.
He also accused Nitish Kumar and other Bihar politicians of raising the issue, as they allegedly lacked campaign issues for the upcoming Assembly elections there.
Those who had proposed a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) investigation into Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case have not questioned the central agency what it has been doing for the past 40 to 50 days, the Marathi publication said.
He also asked where the actress who made capital with the death of Sushant Singh Rajput is now hiding and compared Mumbai to Pakistan, an apparent reference to movie star Kangana Ranaut.
“The actress did not shed two tears even using glycerin after a young woman was allegedly raped and murdered in Hathras and her body was cremated in the dead of night by the police,” the editorial said.
