Maharashtra BJP Vice President Chitra Wagh on Sunday demanded that Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath take “strict measures” against a police officer who detained Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi Vadra for her clothing on the Delhi border. -UP on his way to Hathras.

Along with her tweet, Ms Wagh also posted a photo of the official holding Priyanka Gandhi by her clothes.

The head of the Maharashtra Youth Congress, Satyajit Tambe, praised the position of the BJP leader.

He said that Ms Wagh, who quit the NCP to join the BJP last year, had stuck to her “sanskar” despite changing parties.

Earlier in the day, Gautam Buddh Nagar police apologized to Priyanka Gandhi and said they ordered an investigation into the incident.

Images and videos of the incident also appeared on social media, drawing criticism from the state government and police.
