Questioning those who demanded justice for Kangana Ranaut but are now silent after the Hathras gang rape case, Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut said that if an incident similar to Hathras had occurred in Maharashtra , there would have been demands to remove the government. .
“Those who supported Kangana Ranaut’s baseless remarks against Mumbai and Maharashtra and demanded justice for her when her illegal construction was torn down are now silent and have become invisible when it comes to demanding justice for Hathras’ victim,” Raut wrote in his party spokesman, Saamana. .

In an indirect attack on Kangana Ranaut, Raut said: “Hathras’s victim was not a celebrity and did not use drugs. She did not have any illegal construction (built) spending millions of rupees. She was a simple girl whose corpse was illegally burned in the dead of night. All this happened in Yogi’s ‘Ramrajya’ ”.
The Shiv Sena leader also compared the Hathras incident to “the atrocities being committed against Hindu girls in Pakistan” in his weekly column.
“We hear that such incidents occur in Pakistan, where Hindu girls are abducted, raped and murdered. What happened in Hathras was no different. So far no one has called Hathras Pakistan. “
Raut claimed that the reaction to the Hathras incident would have been different if it had taken place in Maharashtra, governed by the Shiv Sena coalition.
“Had a Hathras-like incident occurred in Maharashtra, demands would have been raised for the removal of the state government and the imposition of the president’s government,” Raut said.
