The main opposition party in Haryana leaves no stone unturned to turn the demonstration into a show of force. Amid the tough stance of the Haryana government that Gandhi will not be allowed into Haryana, Congress has mobilized all its members and former MLA members and former MPs to attract as many of its supporters as tractors and other vehicles and compel the state government to allow Gandhi into Haryana.
In addition to the head of the PCC, Kumari Selja, former CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda, party led by Haryana Vivek Bansal, senior leaders Randeep Surjewala, Kuldeep Bishnoi and others will accompany Gandhi on his entry into the state.
“Although the state government had been issuing statements that Gandhi would not be allowed to enter, we will definitely enter and support the oppressed farmers, workers, merchants and all others who have rallied against this anti-peasant and anti-people government in the state, ”said a senior party leader.
Meanwhile, Haryana Interior Minister Anil Vij reiterated on Saturday that Rahul Gandhi will not be allowed to enter the state if he leads a protest march, even as Congress continued to discuss possible routes the top leader can take to get to Haryana from Punjab.
“We have nothing to do what he (Rahul) does in Punjab, but we will not let him into Haryana. Also before, the Punjab government tried to ruin the peace in Haryana by gathering crowds twice, but we did not allow them to do so.”, Vij said in a statement.
