The Sonet made its debut in the top ten two weeks after its market launch, finishing in September 2020 with a total of 9,266 units.

As of September 2020, Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) had six vehicles on the Top 10 Sales Charts. Last month it registered 1.60,442 units with a year-on-year growth of 30.8 percent. Nationwide, the Indo-Japanese manufacturer registered 1,50,040 units, while 2,568 units were supplied to TKM.

The Swift topped the sales chart with a total of 22,643 units while the compact SUV continues to post good numbers. The Baleno B2 segment hatchback also continued its strength in its segment ahead of the Hyundai Elite i20 and Tata Altroz, with 19,433 units registered last month. The entry-level hatch Alto scored 18,246 units in September 2020 to rank third.

The Wagon R has certainly been impressive in posting volume sales, with 17,581 units sold for fourth place last month. The Dzire compact sedan led its segment with 13,988 units ahead of Hyundai Creta, whose sales count has steadily increased since the debut of the next-generation model in March 2020.

The midsize SUV is offered in three engine options and comes in a wide range to appeal to a wide range of customers. The Grand i10 Nios, which directly rivals the Maruti Suzuki Swift, recorded 10,373 units as it has been steadily recovering in recent months while the Maruti Suzuki Ertiga finished in eighth position.

The Elite i20 premium hatch will receive a new generation in the coming months with a number of exterior and interior changes along with a new set of powertrain options. It finished ninth on the top ten sales charts in September 2020. The Sonet has certainly been the headliner, having entered the top ten in its first month on the domestic market.
