Rajasthan Royals (RR), the last of the undefeated teams at IPL 2020, will face the Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in Match 12 of the tournament. The Royals come into this game with an impressive performance that allowed them to achieve the highest pursuit in IPL history.
The Kings XI Punjab set RR a goal of 224 to win when they met on Sunday, after Mayank Agarwal and KL Rahul formed another massive partnership at the top of the order. In response, Steve Smith, Sanju Samson and Rahul Tewatia all got fifty years when Rajasthan chased the total with three balls to spare.
KKR has also managed to gain some momentum from their side with a win against Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) on Saturday. A disciplined bowling performance by the Knight Riders saw SRH restricted to just 142 in its allotted 20 overs.
Shubman Gill, 21, showed a maturity beyond his years to anchor the team’s chase as the Kolkata franchise raced home for seven wickets.
Fast forward to today, and the top-of-the-table Rajasthan Royals are ready to take on the clash of the seventh-ranked Kolkata Knight Riders. And, if recent matches at IPL 2020 are anything to go by, a RR v KKR contest thriller awaits us at Dubai International Stadium.
