IPL 2020: I can watch it again and again: Sunil Gavaskar knocked down by Shubman Gill’s six in a row against the Rajasthan Royals – cricket

Shubman Gill continued his hot streak at IPL 2020 by fluently hitting 47 of 34 balls in the 12th Indian Premier League match between Kolkata Knight Riders and Rajasthan Royals. The KKR starter failed to get fifty in a row, but his power play hitting game ensured KKR got off to a good start after being sent at bat by RR captain Steve Smith.

Gill hit five fours and six in his stay in the middle. While all his limits were perfect, there was one shot that dropped the legendary India starter Sunil Gavaskar.

Gill hit pacemaker RR Ankit Rajpoot directly over the top of his head for a six in the second over of the match. It was a long throw around the stump, Gill took a good step forward, lowered his head and timed it directly on the bowler.

Gavaskar, who described Gill as one of his favorite hitters, said he can see that shot over and over again because of KKR’s game-1 firm head position.

“I can see this over and over again because of the stillness of the head. Wow, it’s a great photo. He’s one of my favorite hitters, ”Gavaskar said during the comment.

Gill looked well established for another half century, but a slower Jofra Archer ended his innings.

Both RR and KKR lined up teams unchanged from their respective previous matches.
