They have alleged police negligence.
Police officers said Akshat used to stay with one of her friends in a society near Andheri, RTO when the incident occurred. According to her roommate’s statement, Akshat was behaving as usual on Sunday night and as usual they chatted about various things and then had dinner together before going to sleep.
“At around 11:30 pm when he woke up to use the bathroom, he found Akshat dead in his room, after which he immediately called the police,” said an officer from the Amboli police station. A team of police officers rushed him to a private hospital where he was pronounced dead before his arrival. Police officers who have questioned friends that Akshat was in depression because there was no work due to the closure and because he had to borrow money from his family and friends.
