Sun Signs: 50% of the richest people share these zodiac signs, Hurun Rich List shows

Do you believe in astrology? A casual look at the Hurun India 2020 Rich List that included 828 wealthy individuals showed that nearly 50 percent of the wealthiest Indians shared five sun signs: Cancer, Virgo, Gemini, Aries, and Capricorn.

The winner is Cancer, with a 10 percent share on the list. And at 1.41 lakh crore rupees of wealth, Shiv Nadar is the richest Indian in the Cancer club.

They are followed by Virgo (9.60%), Gemini (9.50%), Aries (9.3%) and Capricorn (9.20%). The data showed that Shapoorji Pallonji’s Shapoor Pallonji Mistry is the Virgo pack leader, while ArcelorMittal’s LN Mittal, RIL’s Mukesh Ambani, and Nirma’s Karsanbhai Patel are the richest in the Gemini, Aries, and Capricorn clubs, respectively.

Overall, new entrants to the Aries group’s rich list had a good year and posted a 55% increase in accumulated wealth, followed by Scorpions with 52% and Pisces with 35%. Geminis had a bad year, with about 3 percent of accumulated wealth eroding.

Among other signs of the zodiac, the Leo Club contributed 8.5%, the Scorpios with 8.4%, the Pisces with 7.6%, the Libra with 7.3%, the bullfighters with 7, 1%, Aquarians with 6.9% and Sagittarians with 6.6%.

Azim Premji from Wipro is the richest among the Leos, while Ashwin Dani from Asian Paints led the pack Scorpion, Avenue Supermarts and investor Radhakishan Damani among the Pisces and Dilip Sanghvi from Sun Pharma among the Libra.

Overall, Mukesh Ambani of Reliance Industries was the richest Indian on the list. According to the annual report, Ambani’s personal wealth increased by Rs 2,77,700 crore to Rs 6,58,400 crore, and he retained the richest Indian title for the ninth year in a row.

Ambani’s wealth is now greater than the combined wealth of the next five on the list, including the Hinduja Brothers, Shiv Nadar, Gautam Adani, Azim Premji, and Cyrus S Poonawalla.
