Xiaomi is hosting a Smarter Living 2021 event in India today. The company has teased the arrival of the Mi Smart Band 5, along with its first smartwatch in India. This smartwatch is expected to be called the Mi Watch Revolve, which is essentially a rebranded model of the Mi Watch Color. The Mi Watch Color was originally launched in China. Xiaomi is also rumored to launch the Mi Smart AI speaker at the event. More IoT products may be introduced during today’s Smarter Living 2021 event. Xiaomi’s event will take place virtually and is scheduled to start at 12 pm (noon). Called Smarter Living 2021, the event will be streamed live on YouTube and through its social identifiers. My Smart Band 5
Mi Smart Band 5 is the successor to Mi Smart Band 4 launched last year. This new fitness band was introduced in China in June. According to a recent leak, the Mi Smart Band 5 is predicted to be priced at Rs. 2,999, but it could go on sale for an even lower price of Rs. 2,499.
Recent advancements suggest a color screen, various sports modes, and magnetic charging pins on the back. The China model features a 1.1-inch color AMOLED screen, more than 100 new animated watch faces, and has 11 sports modes. It supports heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring, and helps to keep track of the menstrual cycle. It also comes with a built-in microphone to understand voice commands.
Mi Smart Band 5 includes a 125 mAh battery that is touted to offer up to 14 days of power on a single charge. It supports Bluetooth v5.0 connectivity and comes with a water resistance of 50 meters.

Mi Watch Revolve is reported to be the Mi Watch Color that was launched in China earlier. It is anticipated to be priced at MRP of Rs. 10,999 in India, however its asking price may be even lower by Rs. 9,999. The Mi Watch Revolve teases to offer a circular display, multiple watch faces, sleep monitoring, heart rate monitoring, VO2 max (maximum oxygen consumption) monitoring, and more.
If Mi Watch Revolve is indeed the Mi Watch Color, then the smartwatch will feature a 1.39-inch AMOLED screen, NFC support, and 24×7 heart rate monitoring. The wearable device also claims to last up to 14 days on a single charge. The Mi Watch Color comes with 10 sports modes and it also offers 5ATM water resistance. It supports multi-function NFC, 24×7 heart rate tracking, stress monitoring, and sleep tracking. Xiaomi offers a selection of more than 110 watch faces in Mi Watch Color.
Xiaomi Smart AI Speaker
Xiaomi is also teasing the arrival of an AI smart speaker during the event, but so far very little is known about this device. This speaker likely supports voice commands and comes with physical controls to control music and volume. The teaser page on Mi.com suggests a cylindrical shape with controls at the top. Xiaomi should provide adequate details on this speaker during the event and we will make sure to report them in detail.
