‘I wish to build a monument dedicated to all SPB fans’ – the son of the late singer Charan

SP Balasubrahmanyam was buried in his country house in the village of Thamaraipakkam in the Thiruvallur district of Tamil Nadu.

“Dad is happy now. He has recovered and is breathing well, here in the Thamaraipakkam garden, where he is resting, ”said singer SP Balasubrahmanyam’s son SP Charan on Sunday. The singer and actor was speaking to the press outside his country house in Thamaraipakkam, where the legendary singer was buried on September 26.

Speaking about his plan to build a monument for his father, Charan said: “It is my wish to build him a monument. It has always been SPB for the people. He is owned by the people and his music is owned by the people. ”Charan also expressed that the memorial will be dedicated to all fans around the world and updates will be given next week.

“For the first time, I am very grateful. For the past 50 days, he has been with my family, praying for my father’s recovery. My first and most important thanks to you, ”he said, thanking the Tamil Nadu government, the police department, the local Thamaraipakkam body, friends and residents of the area.

Sharing that it has been overwhelming to see the number of people who showed up to pay their respects to his father at the funeral, Charan said: “We (the family) have been celebrating him as our father, but we did not know him as SPB. We didn’t know how big his personality was. “

SPB’s funeral was held on his family’s property in Thamaraipakkam, which belongs to the Tiruvallur district. On Friday, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswami said that the legendary singer will be buried with full police honors.

Director Bharathiraja, actor Vijay, producer and actor Pyramid Natarajan, TV host ‘Kalyanamalai’ Mohan, Minister of State Mafoi Pandiarajan and music composer Devi Sri Prasad were among those attending the funeral. Around two dozen armed reserve police from the Tamil Nadu Police, dressed in ceremonial garb, paid their respects by firing three rounds into the air as their remains descended to the ground.
