Two of the most popular IPL franchises will square off on Monday when the defending IPL champions Mumbai Indians take on Royal Challengers Bangalore in Game 10 of the 2020 Indian Premier League (IPL).
Although both teams have won one of their two games so far, the mood is quite different on both sides. On the one hand, we have the Mumbai Indians, who overcame a loss to CSK with a strong performance against Kolkata Knight Riders. Captain Rohit Sharma was fit in the previous game, which means the Mumbai Indians’ hitting unit looks in decent touch, though they will expect more from his large amount of off-roading in the slog overs.
Morale among the RCB roster went from high to low, courtesy of an emphatic KL Rahul century last week. Despite boasting a power-packed hitting unit, RCB’s hitters haven’t really come out with Virat Kohli yet to shoot at IPL 2020. As for their bowling unit, Yuzvendra Chahal has led them well, though Steyn and Umesh’s performance has left quite some room for improvement for the Bangalore franchise.
They are facing a severe test in the form of the Mumbai Indians, against whom they have a lower record. His two games against the four-time champions at IPL 2019 ended in defeat, despite both games ending to the end.
Although MI are the clear favorites and have momentum on their side, they cannot take Virat Kohli and company for granted.
With players like AB de Villiers and Aaron Finch looking to make amends for their poor performance against KXIP, MI will have to be vigilant as both teams await their second IPL 2020 win at Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Monday.

Launch report
The field at Dubai International Cricket Stadium is decent for hitting, although there is plenty of help for bowlers too.
Hitters have often tried biding their time in the middle as they brace themselves for the long haul with Prithvi Shaw doing it perfectly in the previous game.
However, hitters need to beware of spinners, who have done well in the middle. Wickets in hand will be key for both sides, as the field will slow down a bit as the game progresses.
With dew coming into play later in the game, both teams will be looking to chase with 160 being a very competitive total at this venue.
