Karan Johar’s 2019 Bollywood Party Video ‘Authentic and Raw’; BCN to chart the next step

Republic Media Network sources reported Sunday that the forensic report of the video of the party at Karan Johar’s residence in 2019, where questions were raised about ‘drugs’, has been submitted to the NCB.

The forensic department report claims the video is authentic and has not been tampered with or edited, the sources said. A meeting will be called at the same where the OCN team led by OCN Deputy Director KPS Malhotra and DDG Mutha Ashok Jain will discuss this with OCN DG Rakesh Asthana to decide the next course of action.

This comes a day after director and producer Karan Johar quashed all claims and allegations that narcotics were used at one of the parties organized at the filmmaker’s home, calling the allegations false and without foundation. On Friday, Johar shared a lengthy statement on Instagram saying that he neither uses narcotics nor encourages people to use such substances.

In the clip, first posted by Johar on Instagram last year, actors Deepika Padukone, Ranbir Kapoor, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, Malaika Arora, Vicky Kaushal, Shahid Kapoor, among others, can be seen partying together. The needle of suspicion is in a particular part of the video where Vicky Kaushal appears to be ‘sniffing’ and something resembling a white pattern can be seen near him and Ayan Mukherji. While some say it is a “substance”, others say it may simply be a reflection of light.

Karan Johar wrote about the video:

“I had already clarified my position in 2019 that the accusations were false.”

“In view of the current malicious campaign, I am reiterating that the accusations are completely unfounded and false. No narcotic substance was used at the party. I WOULD LIKE AN UNEQUIVOUS WAY ONCE AGAIN TO DECLARE THAT I DO NOT USE NARCOTICS AND DO NOT PROMOTE OR PROMOTE THE CONSUMPTION OF ANY SUBSTANCE “.

‘Prepare to face the music’

In a Twitter post, Siromani Akali Dal (SAD) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa claimed that NCB is ready to summon Johar soon in the drug-related case. Akali Dal’s leader, who had complained against Karan Johar in a 2019 video, reminded him that it was not the ‘star-struck’ Mumbai police that were investigating this case. He said that Johar’s ‘false defense’ was not going to work with the Office of Narcotics Control.

Manjinder Singh Sirsa responded to Karan Johar’s statement about ‘false accusations and asked him to be’ ready to face the music ‘.

Sirsa strikes when big names emerge

Manjinder Singh Sirsa had reacted via a video message on Twitter after actor Deepika Padukone’s name in the chats came up in the investigation of the drug angle by the Office of Narcotics Control (NCB). He claimed that “the truth always wins” and added that this is just the beginning and that everyone involved in Bollywood’s conspiracy to “discredit the Punjab” will be exposed. He referred to the movie ‘Udta Punjab’ and said it was always ‘Udta Bollywood’.

“Today, Deepika’s name has come up, tomorrow it will be Ranbir Kapoor, Arjun Kapoor. Karan Johar. Shahid Kapoor, who was the main character of the film, was also present at that party. I would ask NCB when it is investigating the trafficking of drugs, they should also investigate the people who financed that movie and created a plot to smear Punjab. Everyone will see all these people go to jail and I have been saying this for a while, “Manjinder Sirsa said.

The NCB, which launched the investigation after a drug angle in connection with the Rajput’s alleged suicide came to light, has now expanded its investigation and called for questioning of movie celebrities.
