Mutha Ashok Jain, Deputy Director General of the Office of Narcotics Control, has clarified that Karan Johar’s alleged drug party in 2019 is not part of the drug nexus angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput case.
Unfortunately, the case of Sushant Singh Rajput’s death is getting murkier by the day, due to the angle of the drug nexus that has rocked the world of Bollywood and Telly to its core. While Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, and Rakul Preet Singh were recently being questioned by the Office of Narcotics Control, Karan Johar was recently examined for his alleged 2019 drug party.
According to a Times Now video, Mutha Ashok Jain, NCB’s Deputy General Manager for the Southwest Region, provided some clarity on the ongoing investigation. When asked about KJo’s party video as a possible key element in Sushant’s case, Ashok clarified that the 2019 party has nothing to do with this investigation. Ashok also revealed that Khitij Prasad has been arrested after being questioned while no new subpoenas have been issued. So far, more than 18 people have been arrested.
Earlier, in a lengthy statement on Instagram, Karan issued a clarification saying that the allegations against her were “completely unfounded and false.”
“No narcotic substance was used at the party. I would like to state unequivocally once again that I do not use narcotics and do not promote or encourage the use of any substance,” stated Johar adding: “Mr. Kshitij Ravi Prasad joined Dharmatic Entertainment (sister company of Dharma Productions) in November 2019 as one of the executive producers under contract for a project that ultimately did not materialize. “
