Delhi Capitals spinner Ravichandran Ashwin did the smart thing and asked KKR captain Dinesh Karthik the same question.

“How do you throw him? His error is a six with a clearance of 8 meters, a decent shot of 15 meters and a hit off the ground. As captain, how can an opposition bowler play him? “Ashwin asked Karthik on a YouTube show called ‘Hello Dubaiahh’ hosted by the former.

Karthik, who has led Russell since IPL 2018, gave a hilarious response.

“First pray to God. Give him an offering. Pray that he is in a bad mood and then opt for IPL. Then the day, the gate, the conditions (matter), ”said Karthik.

Karthik added that the mere sight of Russell walking towards the bat is “scary” and compared Russell’s gestures to those of a fighter.

“Just seeing him come in is scary. It comes as a fighter. What a build-up it gives while doing that. He is a brilliant character. With his muscles and everything, he looks like an MMA fighter, ”added Karthik.

The KKR captain, however, revealed that the dynamic West Indies off-roader is afraid of everything else besides the cricket ball.

“But he is afraid of everything. She is afraid of driving cars, or even when the bus swerves, she freaks out. She said she will never be on a roller coaster.

“Never judge a book by its cover. The only thing that is not afraid of it is the ball,” Karthik said.

Russell was fired for 11 and picked up 1 spot of 17 in KKR’s opener. He will be looking to take center stage when KKR takes on Sunrisers Hyderabad.
