Prior to her questioning by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which is currently ongoing, Deepika Padukone held an evening meeting with top lawyers at a five-star hotel in Mumbai on Friday, sources reported. The meeting was held to discuss the OCN questioning on Saturday for which she had been summoned. Ranveer Singh was also said to be present at the meeting, the sources added.
Deepika, who was filming for the Shakun Batra movie with Ananya Panday and Siddhant Chaturvedi in Goa, had arrived in Mumbai on Thursday. Actor and husband Ranveer Singh, who had accompanied her, had asked the central anti-drug agency if he could be present during the questioning of his wife on Saturday. However, Padukone was seen arriving alone for questioning on Saturday morning, at the NCB guesthouse.
Deepika Padukone, Sara Ali Khan and Shraddha Kapoor were summoned around the same time, although the proceedings will take place in two locations. Deepika Padukone’s manager Karishma Prakash will also be questioned for the second day in a row. The subpoenas of the three actors, based on two FIRs, are related to the drug investigation of the death case of Sushant Singh Rajput.

Deepika and KWAN’s ‘maal’ chats
The alleged chats between Deepika Padukone and Karishma Prakash from October 2017 have become a topic of conversation where the actor asked for ‘maal’ and ‘hash’. In the latest reveal, it was learned that they were part of a group called ‘DP + Ka + KWAN’, where Deepika Padukone was the administrator. The group was formed by Jaya Saha and its administrators were Deepika Padukone and Karishma Prakash. Other members include Vijay Subramaniam, Anirban Das, producer Madhu Mantena, KWAN CEO Dhruv Chitgopekar, among many others.
The founding partner of the talent management agency, Dhruv Chitgopekar, has also been questioned by the investigative agency, and KWAN’s top executives were also part of that group. Some of this information had been revealed during the questioning of talent manager Jaya Saha, who is being touted as a ‘kingpin’ in the case, according to sources.
