Actress Anushka Sharma has responded to the controversial comment that former cricketer and commentator Sunil Gavaskar made about her and her husband, cricketer Virat Kohli. Gavaskar made an unpleasant comment about the two after Virat’s Royal Challengers Bangalore lost to Kings XI Punjab on Thursday and the captain showed lack of form.
Taking the Instagram stories, she wrote: “That, Mr. Gavaskar, your message is disgusting is a fact, but I would love for you to explain to me why you thought about making such a radical statement about a wife accusing her of her husband’s gambling. I am sure that over the years you have respected the privacy of all cricketers by commenting on the game. Don’t you think you should have the same respect for me and us?
I’m sure you may have many other words and sentences on your mind to comment on my husband’s performance last night or your words are only relevant if you use my name in the process.
Anushka Sharma wrote a long comment on Instagram.
It’s 2020 and things still haven’t changed for me. When will I stop being dragged into cricket and stop being used to pass radical statements? Respected Mr. Gavaskar, you are a legend whose name stands out in this gentlemen’s game. I just wanted to tell you what I felt when I heard you say this. “

Gavaskar’s comment had not gone down well with Virat fans online. Amid calls for the BCCI to remove Gavaskar from the comment panel, an earlier statement from Anushka, issued to dismiss allegations of favoritism and tacky trolling, was retrieved online.
Since she started dating Virat, Anushka has had to face vile comments, being blamed every time her boyfriend and now husband, Virat, did not act. Speaking of it, she had previously written: “I have kept quiet all the times that I was blamed for the performance of my then boyfriend, now husband Virat and I am still to blame for the most unfounded things that involve Indian cricket. Then I was silent, ”she had written. Anushka and Virat are expecting their first child together.
