Maharashtra’s coronavirus case count rose to 12,63,799 on Wednesday with the addition of 21,029 cases, the state health department said.

Karnataka reported 6,997 new COVID-19 cases and 38 deaths on Wednesday, bringing the infection count to 5,40,847 and the death toll to 8,266, the health department said.
The aggregate number of positive coronavirus cases rose to 6,46,530 in Andhra Pradesh, as 7,228 were added again on Wednesday.
With 87 COVID-19 deaths reported in Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday, the death toll due to the disease rose to 5,299, while the total number of people discharged after treatment crossed the 3 lakh mark in the state.
As many as 5,234 new cases of coronavirus were reported in the state, bringing the infection count to 3,696,686, authorities said.
Tamil Nadu reported 5,325 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday, bringing the tally to 5,57,999, while the death toll rose to 9,010 with 63 more deaths.
Kerala’s COVID-19 cases recorded the highest increase in a single day with 5,376 new cases on Wednesday, bringing the infection count to 1,47,132, while the death toll skyrocketed to 592 with 20 deaths.
Odisha’s COVID-19 count rose to 1,92,548 on Wednesday, as 4,237 more people tested positive for the infection, while the record 15 recent deaths raised the number of coronavirus deaths in the state to 736, said a health officer.
