IPL 2020: Mitchell Marsh ruled out of tournament, replacing Sunrisers Hyderabad name – cricket

Sunrisers Hyderabad suffered a major blow on Wednesday when its Australian SUV Mitchell Marsh was ruled out of the 2020 IPL with an ankle injury, the franchise announced. Marsh injured his ankle while bowling in SRH’s 2020 IPL opener against Royal Challengers Bangalore.

West Indies Test captain Jason Holder has been named Marsh’s replacement and is expected to join the SRH team soon in the United Arab Emirates.

Mitchell Marsh has been ruled out due to injury. We wish you a speedy recovery. Jason Holder will replace him for # Dream11IPL 2020, ”SRH tweeted.

Playing for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Marsh received the ball from captain David Warner to throw the fifth more, but was only able to throw four deliveries. Marsh, whose career has been marred by a series of injuries, sprained his ankle on the second ball while trying to pitch, stopping Aaron Finch’s drive on his follow-up, but managed to throw two more balls before limping off.

Later, he bravely came out at bat at No. 10 in the pursuit of SRH, but it was evident that he was even finding it difficult to stand up. SRH lost the game by 10 runs.

SRH will play the Kolkata Knight Riders in their next IPL match on Saturday in Abu Dhabi. It will be interesting to see who replaces Marsh in SRH’s Game XI. Afghanistan’s all-rounder Mohammed Nabi seems to be the favorite at the moment.
