NCB Confronts Jaya Saha With Electronic Evidence, Talent Manager Keeps Silent: Sources


With the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) tightening its grip on the Bollywood Drug Nexus, the investigating agency continues to interrogate suspected ‘kingpin’ Jaya Saha for the third day in a row. According to sources, Jaya Saha has been interrogated with electronic evidence including her messages and call data records. Sources have reported that she has not given adequate answers during questioning and has mostly remained silent.

The anti-drug agency has corroborated the electronic evidence before it, a kind of exercise the NCB does before providing details to the court, the sources added.

Jaya Saha’s mass confession

Earlier in the day, sources reported that Haya revealed that he would buy CBD oil, smuggled in India, for actor Shraddha Kapoor. NCB also questioned Jaya Saha about her talk with actor Namrata Shirodkar, possibly actor ‘N’ from her talks accessed by the agency, but she has reportedly feigned ignorance about it. So far, he has denied any contact with a drug dealer who would supply him with the prohibited drugs.

According to their confessions, according to sources, the CBD oil was ordered online. The other name that has come up in his talks with Bollywood actors is actor Deepika Padukone. Jaya is also likely to be arrested by the NCB for incriminating evidence of drug procurement and supply, which is illegal under the NDPS Act.

The NCB has also put a talent management agency, KWAN, under the scanner. KWAN Executive Director Dhruv Chitgopekar was summoned for questioning yesterday and has also been called today. Shruti Modi will also join NCB’s investigation after her COVID-19 test came back negative. In addition, Karishma Prakash, manager of actor Deepika Padukone, has requested exemption from the investigation of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) until September 25 for health reasons, according to an official statement from the agency. Karishma works with KWAN Talent Management Agency.

On the other hand, Rhea & Showik Chakraborty’s lawyer, Satish Mansinde, reported that the Chief Justice of Bombay HC had declared a holiday on Wednesday due to heavy rains and that the guilty plea hearing will resume on Thursday. The actor was arrested earlier this month and placed in court custody until September 22, which has now been extended until October 6.
