Apple Store Online launched in India today, September 23, providing customers with not only the ability to purchase products directly from the Apple Store, but also get direct customer support, as well as exchanges, student discounts, and financing options. Until now, Apple products have been sold through e-commerce platforms such as Amazon and Flipkart and Apple authorized retailers, but now, interested buyers can buy the desired Apple product directly from the company’s store. Apple says all orders will ship within 24 to 72 hours; however, some of the products, such as Macs, currently show delivery times of up to one month. Plus, there are some benefits for students, financing options for interested buyers, and more.
Indian customers who want to buy Apple products can go to the Apple Store Online to do so. They can contact an Apple specialist via call or chat for particular product assistance, advice or guidance, or if they need help customizing any Mac. Specialists can also help customers to configure your new devices. Support is offered in both English and Hindi.
Apple Store Online also offers a trade-in program for its iPhone models where customers can trade in any credit-eligible smartphone for a new iPhone. They will have to answer a few questions and the store will provide an exchange value of up to Rs. 35,000 that can be used to reduce the price of a new iPhone. Customers must pay the remaining value to complete their purchase.
According to Apple, trade-in values will vary based on the condition, year and configuration of the device you are trading in, and not all devices are eligible, although it did not give a list of accepted devices. And obviously the trade-in value will only be deducted once the device matching the details provided has been verified at pickup.
Students can purchase Mac or iPad models at special discounted prices, as well as take advantage of accessory discounts and the company’s extended warranty program, AppleCare +. Apple Store Online also offers multiple payment modes, including credit and debit cards, EMI credit card, UPI, RuPay, net banking, and credit card on delivery option. These discounts are only for current and newly accepted college students, their parents, as well as faculty and staff.
Apple offers a refund of 6 percent (up to Rs. 10,000) of the cart value on purchases made with HDFC Bank credit cards. The refund will only be offered on the cart value of Rs. 20,900 or more and this offer will continue until October 16, 2020.
Additionally, Apple is also hosting free “Today at Apple” sessions that will be led by local creative professionals with a focus on photography and music. With the arrival of Diwali, customers can obtain exclusive gift wrapping and personalized engravings on select products. IPad and Apple Pencil models can be recorded in English, while AirPods can be recorded in multiple languages, including Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, and more.
Given the current global pandemic situation, Apple offers free contactless delivery. Orders requiring signature will be delivered after verbal confirmation from the customer from a safe distance. Those deliveries that do not require a signature will be left at the door.
