Sanju Samson broke 9 sixes on his 74 of 32 balls.

29-ball half century for Du Plessis
Only the CSK hitter is looking to keep this game interesting. 50s back to back for the South African. He has removed 21 from Unadkat’s.
Dhoni is at 6 of 9 at the other end.
Next 12 balls: 44 runs, 1 X 4, 6 X 6
The difference…

Tom Curran between the wickets
Fully professional display of RR bowlers. Another CSK hitter bites the dust. Jadhav is looking to throw this ball, he can only throw a cut at Samson, who can do no wrong today.
Execution rate 7.86; Required rate: 14.86
Not understanding what CSK is trying to accomplish here. Which is totally normal by the way

First ball duck for Gaikwad
He didn’t even hit a ball to poke his eye. She comes out charging, Tewatia throws her slow and wide. Samson with another stumble! Third wicket for Tewatia and she comes out holding her finger to her ear.
The Tewatia wicket celebration. 10 points?
Rahul Tewatia’s great bowling alley. But those fingers in the ears that silence the celebration of the crowd probably don’t work as well in an empty stadium.

Curran falls in love with a 6 ball 17
He hits two mighty sixes, looks for another, but Tewatia throws him off the pace and leaves him stumped. RR leggies are the right length on the court for most parts. Enter Ruturaj Gaikwad.
One brings two …
Murali Vijay finds the man in the depths with his shooting shot. RR at the top, of course, but CSK will have to question Vijay’s role here. 21 of 21.A wicket for now Gopal, which makes it one for each of the leggies. They’re controlling the intermediates so far …
This was exactly the moment in the RR innings when Jadeja and Chawla disappeared into the stands.
And now he’s gone …
Rahul Tewatia gets big shot Watson. He makes this skid across the surface, Watson swings back to shoot, misses, and the ball bounces off his thigh to knock out the leg stump. Big blow for CSK.
The southpaw at number 3 to counter the leggies? No Here is Faf.
Watson starts the attack
Two sixes and one four from Tom Curran. CSK moves to 53/0 after PowerPlay. That sixth change has finally given the score a boost.
Five overs: still stable
36/0. It’s time to keep going forward!
The chase begins
Vijay and Watson have had their fights in the first couple of overs now. CSK has only 8 in these overs, but you can bet more opportunities will be exploited very soon.
Whoa … Archer’s attack brings RR to 216
30 races to the final. The first four balls went for six. There were two balls without balls and a wide one there too. The return of CSK is undone by another bad ending. Today they have had several bad passes. 8 ball 27 to Archer.
The ending was great, but CSK will wonder why their spinners played without a Plan B. They just kept pitching it and Samson took its toll.
Sam Curran takes three
Smith is going for 69, looking to throw one to the side of the leg. Pretty decent comeback from CSK. They looked deflated during that 121-run position between Smith and Samson. They may well restrict RR to less than 200 and that is a moral victory in itself.
Another arbitration confusion
Tom Curran is trapped pretty bad, he doesn’t have a review to override it. The two referees meet and decide to take the decision to the third referee of their own free will. There is no bat. Then the decision is overturned. They could still have checked the LBW there!
The seamers removing the ball having better
The field also appears to have slowed a bit despite the dew settling. Credit where it is due, decent comeback of CSK with those regular grounds, versus Uthappa, Tewatia and Riyan Parag. Can RR still hit 200?
Uthappa goes; Decent comeback from Chawla
Uthappa punches holes in the length. Bad exit for him. A wicket for Chawla. He conceded 47 of his first two overs. Only 8 of the next two! Dhoni has had to play with him because they don’t have a sixth player.
Smith completes 50; Pardoned again
Sam Curran is waiting by the far boundary. He’s strangely standing on his side. But he seems to have made the decision to do the Faf-style launch and take a step back. You can only end up stopping him on the ropes for a six. The pattern reaches the mark of 38 balls. RR 14 on 149/3
A diamond duck for Miller
Really unfortunate, as he loses control of his bat while running a deuce. Good pick and throw from Ruturaj Gaikwad. Kedar Jadhav picks it up at the non-forward end and breaks the stumps with Miller’s gloves agonizingly below the fold. 0 (0).
Samson falls in love with ball 32 74
CSK let out a sigh of relief, thanks to Ngidi. He ends the storm Sanju, has her man trapped for cover. End of the most notable 121-race booth. But take a bow, Sanju Samson.
74 of 32, 1×4; 9×6; SR 231.25
Nothing goes like CSK
Not even that famous Dhoni (?) Review system! Jadeja should have had Smith one more time. But CSK does not do the review.
Meanwhile … Piyush Chawla has gone for 47 in 2 overs. Sanju Samson has reached 9 sixes!
CSK bowlers have no idea against Samson and Smith!
- 5th plus (Curran) – 14 runs
- Sixth change (Chahar) – 14 races
- 7th plus (Jadeja) – 14 races
- 8th change (Chawla) – 28 races
Samson negotiating in six!
The 25-year-old shoots six sixes to score a fifty of 19 balls.
Smith and Samson fight back
Curran and Chahar lose 14 runs apiece and RR is 54/1 after 6 overs!
Chahar Strikes!
- 2.1 – Chahar to Jaiswal -> short ball -> throw -> medium -> FOUR
- 2.2 – Chahar to Jaiswal -> short ball -> inflated -> top edge -> OUT
Steve Smith opening with Yashasvi Jaiswal
Nice move from the RR captain? He will be tasked with passing, obviously! Keep an eye on young Jaiswal. Deepak Chahar has the ball.
Yashaswi Jaiswal Makes IPL Debut – Series Player in U19 WC 2020 – Fastest to double hundred in Cricket List A (17 years 292 days) – 13 games List A, average 70.8, 100s / 50s 3/3 – Was bought by RR for 2.4 crore @rajasthanroyals #RRvCSK

Release: Rayudu does not fit 100%; Ruturaj Gaikwad made his IPL debut; CSK bowl
There are no surprises with Dhoni’s decision. Expect the dew to be a factor once again. There are also no surprises in the selection of foreign players from Rajasthan Royals: Smith, Miller, Archer, Tom Curran.
How big is Rayudu’s loss? Does it have something to do with the soft desert sand under the ground? It has been a problem for Pakistani players in the past. Or is it just that players who haven’t played in over six months are now being thrown straight into games so competitive that they’re pulling up? Anyway, a big call for young Ruturaj, who has only had one training session since he recovered from COVID-19.
Anyway, fantasy players who have had to block teams before the draw. Sorry. I feel you.
Royals of Rajasthan (Playing XI): Yashasvi Jaiswal, Robin Uthappa, Sanju Samson (w), Steven Smith (c), David Miller, Riyan Parag, Shreyas Gopal, Tom Curran, Rahul Tewatia, Jofra Archer, Jaydev Unadkat
Super Kings of Chennai (Playing XI): Murali Vijay, Shane Watson, Faf du Plessis, Ruturaj Gaikwad, MS Dhoni (w / c), Kedar Jadhav, Ravindra Jadeja, Sam Curran, Deepak Chahar, Piyush Chawla, Lungi Ngidi
@kaushik_cb Rajasthan should have chosen a pacemaker like Ankit Rajpoot or Kartik Tyagi before Rahul Tewatia. We have seen how the new ball is bent at the beginning of the innings.

Team news
CSK have confirmed that Dwayne Bravo (knee) is likely to miss one more game. But Sam Curran, who replaced him, did more than just make a mark. This is what head coach Stephen Fleming I had to say:
What impressed us about Sam is his attitude to everything, almost the harder he gets, the better he gets, his comprehensive skill component and the fact that the captain was able to immediately trust him to enter a crucial moment and hit the ball. way he did.
Sam will face his brother Tom for this one, who will likely pair up with Jofra Archer in RR’s bowling attack. Smith and Miller to complete the set. That is my prediction anyway. Do you have any other ideas? Send it quickly. 11 minutes to pitch.
RR preview: average age 26
They have the youngest squad this season. But they have three spinning dolls in their team: Shreyas Gopal, Mayank Markande, and Rahul Tewatia. How many of them will play today?
Why not you read the season trailer for Kritika Naidu while we wait for the launch!
Last time in this showdown: p
Hopefully there is no repetition.
Prelude – Youth vs Experience
In more ways than one. CSK already has a game under its belt at IPL 2020. The Rajasthan Royals will have some butterflies in their stomachs before starting their campaign.
Fortunately for the Royals, who will be without Jos Buttler and Ben Stokes (still in New Zealand), this is a new place. Sharjah may not be ideal for CSK due to its shorter boundaries and traditionally flatter surface. Therefore, Dhoni may not be able to dictate the tempo of the game with effects as he likes.
We are talking about age and experience. After Devdutt Padikkal last night, keep an eye out for Yashasvi Jaiswal, Riyan Parag and Kartik Tyagi! There is a lot of youthful promise in that pink team.
I look forward to seeing the next bat in hand Indian star making her # Dream11IPL debut, @yashasvi_j Jaiswal. India has a lot of talented young cricketers who are fearless and will have to play against #CSK
