Former Sushant Talent Manager Jaya Saha Questioned By NCB Called Again Along With Shruti Modi

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), which is investigating the angle of drugs in the death of Bollywood actor Sushant Singh Rajput, summoned the actor’s former manager Shruti Modi on Tuesday along with his former talent manager Jaya Saha, who he was also questioned on Monday.

Saha was questioned by the central agency for about four hours at the Bombay Port Trust (BPT) guesthouse in South Mumbai. She arrived at the guesthouse around 2 p.m. and left at 6:15 p.m., said NCB deputy director KPS Malhotra.

The NCB had previously summoned Saha and Modi to appear on September 16, but their questioning was postponed after one of the investigative team members tested positive for the coronavirus disease (Covid-19).

Bollywood actors Sara Ali Khan, Rakul Preet Singh and designer Simone Khambatta will also be called in to join the NCP investigation this week, Malhotra said earlier in the day.

The actors will be cited under Section 67 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act (NDPS) of 1985, after Rhea Chakraborty named them while she was being questioned between September 6 and 9 before being arrested, officials with the police said. NCB.

The agency had previously confirmed that Chakraborty had named all three in his statement, but the context in which their names were taken is still unclear. “Their roles cannot be given at this time,” Malhotra said. Chakraborty, however, had later retracted his statement.

The agency has so far arrested 18 people, including actress Rhea Chakraborty, Rajput’s girlfriend, her brother Showik, and drug traffickers from Mumbai and Goa.

Meanwhile, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and Directorate of Enforcement (ED) have also launched investigations into different angles associated with the Rajput death on June 14.
