Here is a list of states and / or districts that have been ordered new curbs or guidelines to contain the spread of Covid-19 this month. Some restrictions have been recently imposed, while others have been extended.
Raipur: The Raipur district administration announced that it will impose the shutdown from 9pm on September 21 to midnight on September 28 in the wake of 900-1,000 new daily Covid-19 cases.
Raipur district collector S Bhartidasan, in a notice dated September 19, 2020, declared the district a containment zone.
“So far more than 26,000 COVID-19 cases have been detected in Raipur and daily between 900 and 1,000 positive cases are detected. Therefore, the Raipur district has been declared a containment zone,” the notice says.
According to the order, all offices, including government, semi-government and private, will remain closed.
The district boundary will be sealed.
Jaipur: Concerned about the increasing number of coronavirus cases, the Rajasthan government decided on Saturday to impose Section 144 of the CrPC in 11 districts of the state.
The state has 33 districts, and the provision prohibits a gathering of more than five people in one place. Districts include Jaipur, Jodhpur, Kota, Ajmer, Alwar, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Udaipur, Sikar, etc.
Mumbai: Ban orders restricting the movement and gathering of people have been extended in Mumbai until September 30 in the wake of the surge in coronavirus cases, a police officer said on Thursday.
The restrictions under section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code have been in effect in the city since the shutdown began, an official told the PTI news agency.
Noida: Section 144 was extended until September 30. It does not include any new restrictions.
Delhi: All schools in the national capital will remain closed until October 5 in light of the COVID-19 pandemic, the Delhi government announced on Friday.
The latest guidelines from the Center, however, have allowed students in classes 9 to 12 to be called to schools as of September 21 on a voluntary basis.
Tamil Nadu: Tamil Nadu saw an intense shutdown on Sunday with only health care services and milk supply continuing as usual, while the roads had a desert-like look as people remained inside. The full lockdown, effective since last month on Sundays, also witnessed sporadic violations in some places.

However, several states have also issued new guidelines under Unlock 4 to open services around.
The Uttarakhand government has issued guidelines on the interstate movement of people in view of ‘Unlocking 4’.
“The district administration will make arrangements for the thermal control of all persons entering the border control posts, the airport, the train stations and the bus stops of the border district,” reads the guidelines issued by the government. from Uttarakhand on Saturday.
In addition, the Sikkim government has allowed hotels, home stays and other tourism-related services to restart operations from October 10, officials said on Saturday.
The Himalayan state has also decided to open its border with West Bengal for unrestricted movement of vehicles from October 1, they said.
A Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) for hotels and the tourism sector is expected soon, they added.
Reservations for hotels and home stays will begin on Sept. 27, authorities said.
Can local administration impose restrictions on Unlock 4?
The MHA (Ministry of the Interior) order pertaining to Unlocking 4 said that state / UT governments will not impose any local (state / district / subdivision / city) closures, outside of containment zones, without prior consultation with the Center.
National blockade from September 25?
The Center recently rejected news circulating on social media that it was considering reimposing a nationwide lockdown as of September 25 due to an increase in new coronavirus cases in the country. The Press Information Office verified the facts and announced that the news was false in a publication with a “Fake News” alert.
A circular citing the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) stated that it had called for another shutdown as of September 25. There was also an alleged screenshot of the order that was circulating widely.
