In a separate affidavit filed with the Supreme Court, Sudarshan TV has said that it has no ill will against any community or individual, and that the show concerns a matter of national interest.
However, the Supreme Court told the channel to clearly explain its position on content that was seen as slandering an entire community.
“The show shows a grave disrespect for this community. Everybody wants to be in the center of power. What it is doing is marginalizing those who should be brought into the mainstream. By doing this, it will lead them to blows wrong. Where are we going? ” Judge KM Joseph said.
