The explosion damaged the false ceiling, the booths, the parapet of the floor where the laboratory was located. The BMC issued a notice asking the occupant to remove the loose part of the parapet to prevent further incidents.
The fire engines rushed to the scene and controlled the situation. Officials searched the facility and said that no one was trapped in the building. The BMC did not allow anyone on the premises of the building for security reasons.
