Union Interior Minister Amit Shah was discharged from the AIIM on Thursday after he was admitted four days ago with complaints of shortness of breath. He also reportedly made it home.
Shah was admitted around 11pm Saturday night and was in the CN tower, a facility reserved for VVIPs. The BJP leader was being treated by Dr. Randeep Guleria, director of AIIMS.
Shah has been suffering from post-Covid ailments for a month. He was previously admitted to AIIMS on August 18 after he experienced post-Covid ailments days after his recovery from the coronavirus. On August 2, Shah had said on Twitter that he had tested positive for Covid-19, after which he was treated at Medanta Hospital, Gurugram.
He was released on August 14 after testing negative, but was readmitted to AIIMS days later to treat his post-COVID complication on August 18.
“Amit Shah, Union Interior Minister, is admitted to AIIMS, New Delhi, for post-COVID care. He has recovered and is likely to be discharged shortly,” AIIMS said in a statement on 30 December. August.
