Dadar sees an increase in new COVID-19 cases


Mumbai: With a massive increase in coronavirus cases daily, Dadar registered 46 new COVID-19 cases today. With this, the total number of positive cases of COVID-19 in the area amounts to 3,126.

Active cases now number 464, while 2,560 people have been cured and discharged so far.

Dharavi recorded 15 more positive COVID-19 cases today, bringing the total number of positive cases in the area to 2,975. Active cases in Asia’s largest slum have risen to 146. On a positive note, 2,557 people have been discharged after recovery. After a 55-day gap, Dharavi saw its first spike, with 33 Covid-19 cases reported on Friday (September 11).

In the meantime, Mahim registered 40 more cases today, bringing the cumulative count to 2,868. Mahim has 521 active cases so far. At least 2,250 patients have been cured and discharged.

According to the latest information shared by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), active cases now stand at 1,131 in the G / North ward, while a total of 7367 patients were discharged after recovery. The total case count is 8,969.
