Amit Shah Discharged from AIIMS | India News


NEW DELHI: Union Interior Minister Amit Shah, who recently recovered from Covid-19 and was admitted to AIIMS for a full medical checkup, was discharged Thursday night, authorities said.
He was admitted to the main hospital on September 12.
The interior minister has been terminated from AIIMS, an official said.
Earlier in the day, Shah had addressed an event in his Gandhinagar constituency in Gujarat via video conference.
On August 2, Shah, 55, had said on Twitter that he had tested positive for Covid-19. He had received treatment at Medanta Hospital and was discharged after recovering from the illness.
Shah was admitted to AIIMS here on August 18 for post-Covid care and was discharged on August 30 after his recovery, hospital authorities said.
After his admission to AIIMS on September 12, AIIMS said in a statement: “According to the discharged advice, he has now been admitted for a full medical check-up before the Parliament session for 1-2 days.”
The monsoon session of Parliament is in progress.
