Patna: Lok Janshakti Party (LJP) Chairman Chirag Paswan has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and briefed him on the current situation in Bihar which is tied to the polls and has reportedly also expressed his position. on the allocation of seats for the upcoming 2020 Bihar Assembly elections.
The disagreements between Janata Dal (United) and the LJP appear to be far from the question of the division of seats, and the LJP parliamentary board announced that it will fight in 143 of the 243 seats in the state.
Although the content of the letter is unknown, reports state that Paswan in his letter to Prime Minister Modi has written that the electorate is not happy with the functioning of the Bihar government. The head of LJP has reportedly tried to inform the prime minister of the reality of the COVID-19 situation in Bihar and how the state government is working.

Bihar Election: Crucial LJP meets September 16
The JD-U led by Nitish Kumar wants the 243 Assembly seats to be split into two parts between him and the BJP. The JD (U) wants the other NDA partner, Hindustani Awam Morcha (HAM) to be allocated seats from its account, while the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) cedes seats to the LJP of its quota.
However, it has been known that the BJP wants the total Assembly seats to be divided evenly between itself, JD (U) and LJP. The BJP has said that JD (U) will yield seats to Jiten Ram Manjhi’s HAM from its quota.
Paswan’s letter to the prime minister comes two days after BJP chairman Jagat Prakash Nadda claimed on Saturday that the NDA in Bihar will contest the next assembly elections in the “united” state under Chief Minister Nitish Kumar.
LJP leaders are expected to meet on September 16 to discuss the popularity of Janata Dal-United in the state and also deliberate on the issues with JD (U).
