Although India continues to have the second highest number of coronavirus cases in the world, it has also become the country with the highest number of recovered cases. On Monday, India surpassed Brazil to have the highest number of Covid-19 recoveries globally, data from the United States-based John Hopkins University showed.

India, according to the data, has seen 3,780,107 patients recover from the disease so far. Brazil, meanwhile, has 3,723,206 recoveries, followed by the United States with 2,451,406.

By the way, these are also the three most affected countries in the world, followed by the United States by India and Brazil.
According to the university, which has been compiling Covid-19 data from around the world, the global coronavirus count is currently 29,006,003. Of these, more than 19 million people have recovered from the disease.
Meanwhile, India has so far reported 4,846,427 coronavirus cases. With 3,780,107 recoveries, its recovery rate stands at 77.99%. There have also been 79,722 deaths.
“Around 77,512 patients have been discharged in the last 24 hours. The total of recovered cases is 37,80,107. The gap between recovered cases and active cases is constantly increasing. This has touched almost 28 lakh today (27,93,509), ”the Union Health Ministry said in a statement Monday.
India is currently in the fourth stage of unlocking, which started on September 1 and will end on September 30. Several relaxations have been granted for this phase, including the reopening of Metro services and the partial reopening of schools, albeit for orientation purposes only.
The country began to reopen in phases from June 1, after four stages of strict national blockade from March 25 to May 31.
