NEET 2020 Article Analysis: Dozens of students across the city who took their National Income and Eligibility Test (NEET) on Sunday were amazed at the ‘easy’ job they were assigned. Most of the tutorial owners and students said that the exams were easy, as the questions were simple and based on textbooks.
“The NEET test was the easier side this year. The biology and chemistry questions were based primarily on NCERT textbooks as usual. Also, the students were better prepared because they had more time, ”said Durgesh Mangeshkar, founder of IIT Prakashan.
Lalit Kumar, CMD, Prime Academy, said the exams were easier than in previous years. She also praised the test center preparation in terms of physical detachment, based on student feedback.

Swati Singh, an MBBS aspirant who took the exams, said the preparations were “well done.” “There were circles on the floor and we kept a distance of half a meter when entering the classroom. In the class, too, there were only 10-15 students and two benches on all sides were free. They gave us masks in the middle of exams and they had disinfectant and everything in the center. So the physical distancing held up very well, ”he said.

But not all students had the same experience. NIBM resident Sheema Shaikh said the center where she appeared to take the test had given students different reporting times. “Some students were called two hours before the 2 pm newspaper and since we were not allowed to bring anything, it means that they did not eat anything until 5 pm.
The center was a bit messy. Also, they didn’t deliver the brochure until 1.50 pm, which they are supposed to deliver 30 minutes early, so nearly 15 minutes of students were wasted, ”he said.

Mangeshkar said that some of his students made similar complaints. “They said that the first 10 to 15 minutes were in formalities and therefore they were in a tight time to complete the document,” he said. Meanwhile, experts said the limits for government medical schools at MBBS are likely to increase by 10 to 20 points due to the ease of work and the longer preparation time given to students.
