The National Testing Agency, NTA would conduct the National Eligibility and Income Test, NEET 2020 today, September 13, 2020. The Agency has established a dress code for students taking the exam. Although the dress code has been slightly modified taking into account the situation of the pandemic. Apart from this, students can check the required documents, the allowed and not allowed items in the exam room, as well as the SOPs that must be followed for the exam.
Please note that due to COVID19, registration would be done with handheld devices attached to a long pole to maintain proper social distancing. 2020 NEET dress code: what’s allowed and what’s not
- Masks are mandatory. Students may wear gloves and face shields.
- Please note that candidates can wear loose-fitting weather appropriate clothing in light colors. Jeans, salwar suits, culottes, long skirts, pants, T-shirts, shirts are allowed.
- Long-sleeved shirts, dresses with large buttons, and dark or tight clothing are not recommended. Shoes are not allowed and candidates must wear open-toe sandals or slippers for the exam.
- Jewelry is not recommended and only candidates who must wear certain jewelry for religious reasons can wear it.
- Headscarves, turbans are allowed but are subject to searches
- Wearable devices and watches (both analog and digital) are not allowed inside the test center.
NEET 2020 Documents and articles allowed and not allowed
- All candidates must carry their 2020 NEET Admission Card with duly completed declaration form, original government issued photo identification card, PwD certificate (if applicable)
- If a scribe option is available, a duly completed declaration form must be brought along with the scribe’s documents and proof of identification with original photo.
- A pen is allowed and must be carried to complete the answer sheets.
- Phones, Bluetooth devices, and other streaming devices are strictly prohibited in the test center.
- Candidates can bring a clear bottle of water with them to the exam room, as well as a small bottle of hand sanitizer. Please note that there would be no water dispenser available at the test center in lieu of COVID19 security measures
- Bags, stationery, books, or printed material other than that mentioned on the admission card are not allowed.
Candidates must also bring a color photograph to stick on the attendance sheet, as indicated on the admission card. Please note that no thumb prints will be taken, but candidates will need to provide a handwriting sample – please complete the attendance sheet. NEET 2020: SOP COVID19 to Follow Before, During and After the Exam
- Candidates would be thermally scanned prior to entering campus
- If the temperature is lower than 37.4 ° C / 99.4 ° F, they will be transferred to search the personnel to search and if the temperature is higher than 37.4 ° C / 99.4 ° F, they will be taken to the Room of Isolation.
- The local COVID-19 helpline number will be prominently displayed at test centers and used as needed
- If a person is determined to be positive for COVID 109, the guidelines call for them to be placed in a room or area where they are isolated from others. The person will remain in isolation while wearing a face mask / cover until such time as examined by a physician. If symptoms worsen, report to the nearest medical center or call the state or district helpline number.
- Upon completion of the exam, candidates would be allowed to move in in an orderly fashion – one candidate at a time. Gloves and masks would be disposed of in a pedal-covered container in the Exam Center and outside the exam room / hallway only.
Up to 15.67 lakh candidates are expected to be submitted for the only national-level exam for admission to the undergraduate medical and dental course.
