Actor Yuvraj S. Singh debunks the claim that his friend, the late actor Sushant Singh Rajput, was addicted to drugs. He says that Sushant is under attack and that there is more to the story than meets the eye.
“We did so many auditions together. I have so many memories of him. We used to meet every day for one audition or another, here and there. This is how we met,” Yuvraj told IANS.
Talking about the picture that is being painted of Sushant, Yuvraj said: “I am quite surprised to hear all this. It was quite surprising to hear all these theories about drugs, and that he needed drugs to survive or that he could not cope without. hard to swallow. When you see the case, the way it goes and how these things are planned … he’s being attacked. There is no denying that people were attacking him for money and they were targeting him probably for investments and their own projects, “he added.
Yuvraj continued, “He never seemed like a depressed person. A person can get carried away by fame, but he didn’t seem like that.”
Yuvraj feels that Sushant “knew more than he had to.”
“He was planned to be in this position with people giving him the kind of medication that was driving him crazy, or if he had some kind of threat, which was probably fatal. It’s so hard to tell.”
When asked when was the last time he connected with Sushant, Yuvraj said: “I had a chat with him about eight months ago, approximately when Chhichhore was released.”
“I told him that I liked the movie, and I responded by saying ‘it’s good and it has done very well.’ I thought that after Chhichhore, I would get really great films with a more promising career. But this is all really shocking.” Yuvraj added.
On June 14, Sushant was found dead at his home in Mumbai. At the time, the Mumbai police concluded that it was a suicide case and investigated the reasons that could have caused Sushant to end his life. Sushant’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty, and her family were accused by the father of the late actor KK Singh of inciting his son’s suicide, among other charges.
At present, his death is being investigated by CBI, the Narcotics Control Office (NCB) and the Directorate of Enforcement (ED).
