With Kangana versus Shiv Sena playing after BMC razed the supposedly illegal part of his Mumbai office, the Bollywood actor’s political connection is in the news. The actress was provided Y plus security when he arrived in Mumbai on September 9, after he complained about receiving threats from Shiv Sena following his comment comparing Mumbai to Pakistani-occupied Kashmir. The actor’s mother, Asha Ranaut, thanked Union Interior Minister Amit Shah for providing security to Kangana, despite knowing that the family has ties to Congress. This sparked various speculations about Kangana’s incorporation into politics.
Union Minister Ramdas Athawale recently met the actor at his Mumbai residence and said that the BJP or his party, RPI, will welcome Kangana if he wants to join. But the actor has no political ambitions, Atawale confirmed.
Speaking of politics, Kangana said on Friday that Shiv Sena founder Balasaheb Thackeray has been one of his “favorite icons.” He also criticized Congress and the party’s president, Sonia Gandhi, for the silence of the Congress throughout the episode.
Both Kangana and her sister Rangoli Chandel are supporters of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. But the actress had no plans to join politics, as she had tweeted in August this year.
From Congress, thankfully after Manikarnika even BJP offered me a ticket, I’m obsessed with my work as an artist and never thought about politics, so all the trolls I get for supporting who I want to support as an independent thinker must end 🙂🙏

“This is to clear things up for everyone who thinks I support Modi ji because I want to join politics, my grandfather has been an MLA congressman for 15 years in a row, my family is so popular in politics at home that after Gangster almost every year I receive offers from Congress, ”he tweeted on August 15.

In 2018, however, the actor was not averse to joining politics. “Whenever I decide to hit the road, I will do so with the utmost sophistication, dignity and focus. If I have to be a national servant, I cannot have a family or children, or an alternative career. A politician should not be more than a government official, ”he said in an interview.
