Congressional Leader Rahul Gandhi said today that his “well-planned fight” against the coronavirus has reportedly put India in an “abyss” of 24 percent GDP reduction, 12 million rupee job losses, loans 15.5 crore additional stresses and higher daily COVID-19 cases and deaths globally.
Congress has accused the Modi government of failing to handle the COVID-19 pandemic effectively.
The government has rejected all of these claims in the past.

Rahul Gandhi’s reference to a “well-planned fight” against COVID-19 is seen as a mockery of Interior Minister Amit Shah. Gandhi’s tweet comes days after Amit Shah said that India is waging a “well-planned” fight against the pandemic under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Amit Shah, on Thursday, said that “the coronavirus is an unprecedented challenge for us. But we are fighting it in a well-planned way under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the whole world has recognized our efforts.”
