Maharashtra Reports Highest Peak of 24,886 New COVID-19 Cases Today; total count crosses 10,00,000 mark


The state of Maharashtra reported an all-time high of 24,886 new cases of coronavirus and 393 deaths were reported today in Maharashtra.

With this, the state has registered 10,15,681 cases and 28,724 deaths so far. The fatality rate in the state is 2.83 percent.

The number of active cases stands at 2.71.566 according to the latest information shared by the state health department.

On the other hand, 14,308 patients were discharged today and 7,15,023 COVID-19 patients have been discharged after full recovery until today. The recovery rate in the state is 70.4 percent.

Out of 50,72,521 laboratory samples, 10,15,681 have tested positive (20%) for COVID-19 to date. There are currently 16,47,742 people in quarantine at home and 38,487 people are in institutional quarantine.

Meanwhile, Mumbai reported 2,172 new coronavirus cases on Friday and with that, the city’s case count rose to 1,65,287. Additionally, 44 patients succumbed to the virus, bringing the death toll to 8,064. To date, 129,244 patients have recovered and the number of active cases in the city now rises to 27,626. The city’s recovery rate has improved to 78 percent.

Mumbai: Sudden Increase in Covid Cases in Dharavi; count goes up to 2883

A sharp increase in daily coronavirus cases was reported in Dharavi on Friday after nearly three months, as the Mumbai slum colony reported 33 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total numbers to 2,883. Active cases also rose to 124, while there were 2,489 recoveries. .
