The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the results of the Mains 2020 Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) on its official website jeemain.nta.nic.in on Friday. A total of 24 students scored in the 100th percentile. The results of around 8.58 lakhs of students taking the JEE main exam have been announced at 660 centers across the country.
Based on the results of the JEE-Mains Paper 1 and Paper 2 exams, 2.45 lakh top candidates will be eligible to sit for the JEE-Advanced exam which is a comprehensive exam to gain admission to the 23 leading institutes of technology in India . (IIT).

Candidates who took the exam, which took place from September 1-6, 2020, can check and download their result from the website. The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the JEE main entrance tests in two spaces, between 9 a.m. and 12 noon, and between 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. from 1 to 6 September.
Follow these steps to verify your main JEE 2020 output:
Step 1: visit the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in
Step 2: click ‘download result’ to get the main JEE result
Step 3: enter your login credentials
Step 4: Download the main JEE output and print for future reference
Candidates meeting the required cut-off marks of JEE Main 2020 will be eligible to apply for admission to various engineering institutions such as Indian Institutes of Information Technology (IIIT), National Institutes of Technology (NIT) and Institutes Government Funded Technicians (GFTI).
Earlier, Union Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal had announced that candidates who qualify for JEE Main 2020 will now not require the mandatory 75 percent marks in Class 12 this year for admission to the National Institutes of Technology. (NIT) and other centrally funded technical institutions (CFTI). The move comes amid the COVID-19 coronavirus crisis.
The Union minister had said that qualifying candidates will only need to obtain a passing certificate on the class 12 exam, regardless of the grades obtained.
The JEE Advanced 2020 or ITT JEE registration process is expected to start on September 12 on the official website, jeeadv.ac.in. The JEE Advanced exam is scheduled for September 27.
JEE Advanced is an entrance examination conducted for admission to the prestigious 23 IIT universities in India.
