Sandalwood actress Sanjjana Galrani, arrested on Thursday, dramatically refused to give her blood samples for a doping test as part of the investigation by the Bengaluru Central Crime Division (CCB).
Sanjjana Galrani was arrested by the agency as detectives expanded their investigation into Kannada’s film industry ties to the drug nexus.
In a video that went viral on Thursday, Sanjjana Galrani is seen refusing to give her blood samples for the doping test, arguing with investigating officer Puneeth and other senior doctors that she had lost confidence in the police and had no idea why he did it. He was arrested. Sanjjana further claimed that it was her fundamental right to refuse to give a blood sample and that her lawyers had informed her to do so. Sanjjana also claimed that she was arrested simply on the basis of talk and that there was no evidence to prove her guilt.

“I have lost my trust in the police. I don’t know why they arrested me. They are not telling me why. Even if I do blood tests, I do not trust the blood to be mine. Rahul, Viren Khanna also arrested
Bengaluru Joint Police Commissioner Sandeep Patil confirmed that the team carried out search activities at Sanjjanaa Galrani’s home, after obtaining a search warrant from the court. Officials also mentioned that Sanjjanaa was kept under a scanner, since her friend, real estate agent Rahul, was arrested by the CCB in connection with the drug case. Viren Khanna has also been arrested in the drug case.
Basavaraj Bommai, who is Karnataka’s current Interior Minister, recently mentioned that the government has ordered the CCB to investigate the alleged involvement of people from the film industry in drugs. Sanjjanaa Galrani hails from Bengaluru and made her debut in 2006. The actor also appeared in the acclaimed Kannada film “Ganda Hendathi.”
