JEE Main Result 2020 Live Updates: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will declare the main results of JEE 2020 today. Candidates who took the Joint (Main) Entrance Exam will be able to download their scorecards online at jeemain.nta.nic.in. The exam took place from September 1 to 6 for which around 8.58 lakh of candidates had been registered, of which almost 6.3 lakh appeared.
NTA had held the JEE Main 2020 in the midst of the Coronavirus pandemic this year. However, about 74% of all registered candidates took the exam. NTA had taken appropriate security measures and maintained social distancing.

The output of JEE Main 2020 is determined by the normalization process. The exam was conducted on different days and sessions. Some candidates may get an easy job while others have to answer more difficult questions on the JEE Main 2020 exam. JEE 2020 Main Outcome: What is the score normalization process?
NTA ran JEE Main 2020 in two attempts: January and September. Since the exam was conducted in multiple shifts each day throughout the two sessions, the calculation of the score for a single percentile score is done using a normalization process.
Normalization is the process of identifying a candidate’s actual merit / rank by creating the same playing field for all students. The same process is used in other exams across the country to solve similar problems.
JEE 2020 Main Result: What is the difference between percentile and percentage on the scorecard?
The percentage is a number of 100, while a candidate’s percentage score would reflect how many candidates have scored below that candidate on an exam. A percentile score is the value below which a certain percentage of observations fall.
The percentile score would be based on the relative performance of all applicants appearing on the exam. The score would be obtained after transforming the scores on a scale ranging from 100 to 0 for each test session.
