Ankita Lokhande responds to Shibani Dandekar’s ‘two seconds of fame’ comment, says ‘stop looking down on TV actors’ – bollywood

Actress Ankita Lokhande has reacted to Shibani Dandekar’s recent comments against her. Shibani, while defending her friend Rhea Chakraborty, had said in a social media post that Ankita was seeking her ‘two seconds of fame’ by attacking Rhea.

In an Instagram post on Thursday, Ankita wondered if she was being criticized for being considered a television actress. She wrote in her post, “‘2 seconds of fame.’ This phrase made me think today. Coming from a level 2 city and belonging to a humble background, I did not have a fancy upbringing to show myself. I entered the television industry in 2004 with a program called Zee Cine Star Ke Khoj. But my real journey started in 2009 with the “PAVITRA RISHTA” program that lasted until 2014. It would be an injustice if I do not mention that it was among one of the best programs for 6 years in a row with the highest GEC TRP. on television to date. “

“2 seconds of fame” This phrase got me thinking today. Coming from a level 2 city and belonging to a humble background, I did not have a fancy upbringing to show myself. I entered the television industry in 2004 with a program called Zee Cine Star Ke Khoj. But my real journey started in 2009 with the program “PAVITRA RISHTA” which lasted until 2014. It would be an injustice if I do not mention that it was among one of the best programs for 6 years in a row with the highest GEC TRP. on television to date. Fame is just a byproduct of the love and warmth an actor receives from the masses. Along with all the viewers, I also feel connected to the character of “ARCHANA”. Both my fate and the people have been kind enough to me to pour out their blessings and love on me. The aspiration of an actor trying to portray as many different roles and characters as possible led me to explore. Fortunately, I had the opportunity to work at Manikarnika and Baghi 3. To conclude, I have been an ACTOR in Television and Bollywood for the last 17 years and now when I am trying to support justice for my late friend, a view has been expressed! I’m looking for JUSTICE because I need 2 seconds of fame and cheap publicity! I cannot understand why a person would take such a position. Is it because I have worked mainly in television and not in Bollywood? Is that why you would take sides with the person you’ve been in a relationship with for almost a decade? Stop looking down on TV actors, if that was your reason for describing my words as ‘GROTESQUE’. It takes the same amount of hard work and dedication on the part of actors in the television industry as it does in Bollywood. I am proud to be a television actor. And if not for nothing, I will always raise my voice for the people I love and care for. #proudtobeatelevisionactor # WarriorsRoar4SSR #justiceforsushant

He added the hashtags ‘proud to be a TV actor’, ‘warriors roar for SSR’ and ‘justice for Sushant’. Ankita had already made her position clear on the ongoing investigation into Sushant’s death case. She said that just as Shibani was defending her friend, she had chosen to support Sushant’s family.

Ankita and Sushant dated for six years until 2016. Sushant died on June 14. Her death has been declared suicide by the Mumbai police. Her family has accused Rea of being an accessory to her suicide and embezzling her funds. Rhea has denied all charges and has filed a counterclaim against two of Sushant’s sisters.

In her post against Ankita, Shibani had written: “Such a grotesque letter from @lokhandeankita This patriarchal princess who has never dealt with her own relationship issues with Sushant clearly wants her two seconds of fame and has taken advantage of the fact that Rea is under attack. She has played an important role in this’ witch hunt and needs to be called! She also just needs to shut up. Enough ankita! Nobody has more hatred in their heart (?) Than you. “
