Earlier, the prime minister had said that nearly 75% of candidates were unable to attend the joint entrance exam on September 1 due to the pandemic.

In August, the state government had imposed the blockade for six days. On September 7, the first block of the month was applied.

The Kolkata metro has also decided to operate 66 trains on Sunday so that NEET candidates can reach the exam centers without much hassle.
